26 May, 2010—Oil-Capture Baffle Prototype Boss Engineering & Surveying president Ed Shaw recently traveled to Florida to build and test a prototype baffle to trap leaking oil from the April 20 Deepwater Horizon rig explosion. The baffle would be anchored in twenty to thirty foot deep water, capturing oil as it approaches shoreline while still allowing sea life to pass through. Trapped oil could then be cleaned from the baffle as needed. For local news coverage of the prototype, including video, please click here. More information regarding the baffle can be obtained by contacting us at info@boss-eng.com or by phone at (801) 763-8467. 1 May, 2010—Cleveland Fire Station The Cleveland Fire Station and Town Hall was recently completed and celebrated with an open house.
